it started in california — sunshine, palm trees, a it started in california — sunshine, palm trees, and way too little storage for christmas decor. then came connecticut — seasons, nature and ALL THE ornaments because now i have space for two trees… and ZERO RESTRAINT BABAAYYY!!!! i decided to tell pretty much that exact story above, in ornament form, with custom photo ornaments from @shutterfly, i’ve actually been ordering these since before we even had arlo and you know i’m a sentimental slob, they really enhance that weepy, sappy nostalgia energy i live for all holiday season!!!! they are so easy to customize and create and there are clearly SO MANY cute designs, i couldn’t possibly stick to a theme lol. now it feels like a scrapbook, but in tree form!! use code MM40 for 40% off and free shipping when you spend $40+ on ALL SFLY products (11/28/25–12/31/25) from @shutterfly!! #ShutterflyPartner ps i read this and thought all you fellow saps might want to know that “research shows nostalgia can benefit our mental health by affirming social belonging, alleviating loneliness, and enhancing our sense of meaning” SO THERE!
embossed tin ornaments! made from recycled takeout embossed tin ornaments! made from recycled takeout containers!! cut the sides to flatten, and then smooth out the texture with a plastic tool or rag (i used a butter spreader and it was perfect) use a soft surface so you don’t scratch up your table (a sketchbook was perfect) draw your design right onto the tin (you can erase by re-smoothing but the more you do it, the more it’ll get dented up) you can sketch it out with pencil first, or trace right on top. i used an embossing tool but you can also just use a ballpoint pen! once you’re happy, cut out with scissors, punch a hole and add ribbon! would look so cute with some beads to embellish but i couldn’t find any! use as ornaments, or decoration around the house, or super special gift tags!! or a whole garland of these on your mantle would look sooo cute! ps you could also use grocery store lasagna pans or whatever they’re called should i have made templates for designs? would you guys prefer that?! if you want the links for my supplies, comment MAKE and i’ll send em straight to ya https://liketk.it/5Dy4h #recycledcrafts #recycledcraft #xmascrafts #homemadechristmas homemade christmas, little women xmas
snowflake clay ornaments! these are SO simple to snowflake clay ornaments! these are SO simple to make and so so cute! make balls out of your oven bake (or air dry) clay and roll out. poke large holes all around the diameter of your circle and then bake. use a thick needle and embroidery floss to go across each direction overlapping. add a string to hang (i added a little wood bead for some flair) if you want the supplies sent straight to your dms— comment MAKE ❤️ https://liketk.it/5DgFE . . #diyxmas #diyornaments #diyornament #christmasornament #clayornaments #clayornament

after a long weekend of potty training i’m feeling after a long weekend of potty training i’m feeling thankful for everything else in life besides this! some recent moments that brought me joy!
ok new fave holiday hobby unlocked — this is way b ok new fave holiday hobby unlocked — this is way better than potty training. now what else should i draw!!!??? my pinterest is full of embossed tin ornament crafts and i’ve been hoarding tomato paste tubes and takeout containers for a month i’ll do a proper diy tutorial but all i did was flatten metal takeout containers with a butter spreader, then draw designs with an etching tool (but a ballpoint pen will also work fine!) punched a hole and added a ribbon! haven’t figured out if there’s a way to dull the edges but they’re not too sharp as long as they’re rounded!
