our annual spooky dinner! we’ve been doing this our annual spooky dinner! we’ve been doing this every october since arlo first became completely obsessed with halloween and while the the table settings and the menu has changed, the concept has stayed the same — i go to town on the table with our halloween decoration box and we eat by candlelight, it’s a last big send off to halloween season before we trick or treat and i just hope someday when they’re parents they keep this tradition alive for their own kids 😭😭😭😭 or maybe i can just be the spooky grandma happy halloween!!!!!

…weekend to finally make one spooky breakfast. i …weekend to finally make one spooky breakfast. i’m very rusty but today i decided to make a coffin french toast which i’ve never tried before! so simple! so scaaaary! my french toast batter — egg, milk, heavy cream, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, honey, a little orange zest, and pumpkin pie spice when it’s the season — add black, brown, purple food coloring to your french toast batter (it’ll all look unappetizing so whatever colors of your choice) — cook french toast and then slice two pieces into coffin shape — mix confectioners sugar and heavy cream together and put into a squeeze bottle or a plastic bag with a small corner cut off to pipe for the letters — mix syrup and red food coloring for the blood #almostmakeshalloween halloween themed breakfast ideas for kids
