family room updates + what im planning for this ro family room updates + what im planning for this room! even though this room doesn’t have a view, its become my favorite because of how much time we spend here. it’s already feeling so cozy, my marketplace hutch and a new rug really improved the vibes in here!! this is actually the second electric fireplace insert i got (the first one looked more realistic but it had this reflective plastic dome i couldn’t stop staring at) i’m STOKED on it even if it doesn’t look real. i kinda think it does though!? if you want the links for anything just comment WANT and i’ll send em straight to your inbox going to have my friend @mstarrevdesign whip up some patterned lampshades and get a big roman shade for the window soon hopefully too now i want to paint it green and make the fireplace special like @bohomeinteriors did! imagine how good it would look!!!! https://liketk.it/5n9cv

august was our second full month here! still pinc august was our second full month here! still pinching myself constantly! still feel like i’ve gotten very little done inside the house but getting to watch their childhoods completely transform and getting to watch the sky turn pink over our river every night is what really matters most. ready to settle into our new routine but not ready to not feel like i’m on endless vacation… so i won’t!

I’VE BEEN CRAVING THIS!!!! perfect for one of our last summery dinners outside before we have autumnal dinners outside! 🦞 lobster salad recipe 🦞 — mix mayo with chopped tarragon, juice of 1/2 half lemon, tb of dijon, salt and pepper — dice cucumber, celery, green onions and mix with lobster meat. add mayo mixture and some more fresh tarragon (i also added basil and dill!) — butter split top buns and pan fry until golden. spoon in lobster salad and liberally sprinkle on the @oldbay_seasoning — serve with pickles and chips (or tots but i forgot them) comment WANT for the links sent straight to your dms. https://liketk.it/5mNrK
