comfy fall basics from free assembly
this post is in partnership with walmart
ok so i never do style posts on here, but i’ve always wanted to stop being self conscious and share more clothing, so this post encouraged me to try it out! :/
free assembly is a private label at walmart that makes tons of elevated basics i love — no, like try to scroll through one page of the free assembly line without wanting something. impossible!! the prices are so low, but the quality is great and they use organic cotton! Read More

my favorite classic horror movies
i did a poll on instagram and making a blog post of my favorite classic horror movies (versus not making it) won, so here i am!!
i’ve been watching horror movies since i was wayyyy too young. i will never forget some of the traumatic things i saw (child’s play 2 when i was like 4, sorority house massacre 2 when i was 7 and the first scene of friday the 13th part v: a new beginning when i was about 8). I REMEMBERED these vividly throughout my life so my advice to parents is — don’t let your kids watch horror movies until they’re waaaay older ok?!?!
since then, i’ve always loved horror movies– i pretty much watch them more than any other genre. in college i even took a class on horror film and shocker, i got an A!
the term “classic” is confusing because i’m getting older so some movies that seem recent are actually like 20 years old now so who knows what’s considered classic anymore?! ok enough talking, here are a bunch of movies i loved. Read More

house tour : nicoles traditional turned modern home
today is a special house tour! it’s the home of my best friend!! when i first saw their house before they bought it my first comment was “it’s so grownup” because of all the crown molding, nicole managed to turn it from super traditional into their own style so quickly and so well.
she moved super quickly to make so many little changes as soon as they got the place like painting the kitchen cabinets, honing their marble countertops, removing trim pieces off their fireplace to modernize it and swapping the hardware and lighting out everywhere. the changes made such a massive impact to the look and feel of the house so i am so excited to share it with you today! pretty everything : modern steak knives
i feel like most steak knives look so formal, and it bothers me when they look super out of place with the flatware– is that just me?! i got lots of questions about our steak knives when i shared my utensil drawers on instagram, so i wanted to do a big roundup of good looking steak knives.
i think these are all beautiful, and not $500 either!!Read More

20 minute air fryer salmon bowls
ok this recipe is so easy and delish for a weeknight dinner that i might make it every week! while the salmon is cooking in the air fryer, i just chop and prep all the other ingredients and it comes together super easily. you can obviously also cook your salmon in your oven if you don’t have an air fryer.
the salmon will taste best if you marinate it ahead of time, so that adds a few minutes to the prep time but i think its very worth it. everything else i use is microwave or ready to eat so it’s so simple, but if you’re fancy you could cook your actual rice or edamame. i’m not fancy so i even use a squeeze bottle of ginger. pregnancy fail (pt. 3) — our ttc journey, continued
i can’t believe we’re here again. but i’ve had another miscarriage, two within 12 months. having one miscarriage is one of the most devastating experiences i’ve ever had. but having two is unlike any pain i could ever imagine. wow it is so much worse and i wasn’t prepared.
you hope the first one is just bad luck and you just feel cautiously optimistic that it wouldn’t happen again, but to go through it all over again is like an actual nightmare. i can’t even imagine how women feel who go through this more than that. i do actually feel like i have some PTSD from all of this, and the idea of having this happen again… it’s terrifying.
