(well i actually preferred how the paper toilet rolls cut fyi!) i planned on making this into a garland but ended up just doing some ornaments for now— but these would be so cute all over the house! hanging from a candle holder, a wall sconce, a doorknob!? my algorithm has been stressing me out because homemade christmas crafts are so hot right now and i’ve felt overwhelmed even though this is my wheel house, i’ve got piles of supplies and lists of craft ideas ready but zero motivation. every year, for 5 years now, my stupidly talented every year, for 5 years now, my stupidly talented husband makes an ornament of a food that is special to our family! they seriously get better every year!! and now the time has almost come! help us decide what @gideonboomer should make for his ornament this year!? we were thinking — — double scoop ice cream cone of arlo and izzy’s fave flavors (strawberry and mint chip what a yucky combo) — a new haven style pepperoni pizza in the box and everything — a grilled blue crab like the one arlo caught and we grilled but no one likes that idea as much as arlo — soup dumplings, he almost did @dintaifungusa last year but went with @katsuyagroup weigh in! ORRRR let me know if you have a better idea!

so now that i’ve moved to ct, i’ve made it my goal so now that i’ve moved to ct, i’ve made it my goal to live a slower life #ApplePartner — and what’s more cozy (and slow) than reading BOOKS?! that’s right, i’m a reader now!!! @applebooks has made the transition from someone who pretty much only bought books as decoration to a full-fledged BOOKWORM way easier because you can read or listen to samples before you buy, keep a “want to read” list, adjust the playback speed as much as you want and it still feels like a physical book because you actually *flip* the page. it’s also subscription-free, so i won’t feel guilty if i take a break from reading — but please don’t let me do that!! you can even follow @reesesbookclub, where Reese Witherspoon hand-picks a new read each month — always with a woman at the center. i’m always trying to scroll less (who isn’t), so lately i’ve been listening to books while soaking up time in the backyard before it gets too chilly. watercoloring and listening to a book? cozy. cooking dinner with a glass of wine and a book? cozier. walking on the beach with a book? peak slow life!!!!!! the link is in my bio!
