arlo has finally gotten to the age where i just don’t think i can handle hosting his birthday parties at home! i think most people start going out much sooner than us, but i’ve loved having home parties so i can go all out on the themes, i just can’t do it anymore if we’re going to have to invite school friends and such! luckily izzy is still a baby so there will be plenty of home parties still lolllll …

anyway along with my intense researching, i also asked instagram for some suggestions of places to host parties and was kindly offered many, so i thought i should share them all with you in case you’re looking too!

ball & bounce

location: encino / beverly

party package pricing: $1800 for 2 hours / 20 children

an indoor playhouse with swings, slides, rock climbing and zip lines aka a kid’s dream come true. you can book a party package that includes a theme, the rental of the whole space, cleanup and cake cutting. they can also add on goodie bags (for an additional cost) if you want those off your plate.

cayton childrens museum

location: santa monica

party package pricing: starts at $1200 / up to 40 people

a kids museum with hands-on exhibits, art studios and a theatre. the party package include a private room for food, cake and gifts. they can also cater your party for what looks like an additional cost.

live love play

location: glendale

party package pricing: starts at $1199 for 2 hours / 12 kids + 20 adults

a pretty indoor/outdoor play space with a four-story spiral slide, wave slides and a trampoline. it’s also got a separate toddler soft play area for the littles and a lounge for the parents.

peekaboo play land

party package pricing: $345+ / up to 15 children + 30 adults

multiple play areas and a bounce house. the weekend party packages include the whole playland reserved for you, decorations and balloons.

looma space

the cutest indoor playground ever!! and it even has a sweet little kids cafe. i wish this was closer to us! party packages include decor, favors, a digital invitation, and photo booth access.

a “california cool” boutique play space with a hawaiian vibe, i meannnn. parties include 2 hours of exclusive use of their play studio and two teachers leading play, games and activities. they offer themes and a few party packaging tiers. plus lots of a la carte add-ons like decorations and fun food options, including charcuterie boards and a pancake bar!!

the coop

location: studio city, woodland hills, redondo

party package pricing: starts at $695 for 2 hours of private playtime / 15 kids + 25 adults

a play space with a huge ball pit, 2 story curly slide, a rope climbing tunnel, a bouncer, an electronic dance and gaming floor, and outdoor garden. they offer themes and lots of additional options like decor, food, face painting, entertainers, etc.

imaginology

a STEM based party center with earth, water and light labs to explore things like gravity and wind tunnels. packages include exclusive use of the space, hands-on activities, and party themes.

world of candy land playground

i mean, i feel like the name kind of speaks for itself. an indoor playground with a two-story maze, four lane slide and giant ball pit, and four pretend play houses (grocery store, fire station, beauty salon and ice cream shop). and a rotating lollipop ride!! the basic party package includes drinks and pizza but there are others that include more.

lucky strike

you can choose a party package or you can hire an event planner to design one for you. IMO you can’t really go wrong with bowling, arcade games and good food.

moonlight rollerway

location: glendale

party package pricing: during public sessions – $300 / up to 10 skaters

for a private party / entire rink rental – $1500 / up to 50 guests

a fun roller skating rink! the basic package includes a pitcher of soda/lemonade but food has to be purchased separately. you can bring in a cake or cupcakes but no other food. if you rent out the space it looks like you can bring in outside food for an additional fee.

my little paris café and bakery

location: san gabriel

party package pricing: for a private room – starts at $460 for 2 hours / up to 20 adults + kids

for the full space – starts at $1150 for 2 hours / up to 10 kids + 20 adults

ummm cute!! an indoor play space with an adorable café offering french pastries and desserts. party packages include food served family/buffet style and drinks.

discovery cube

location: OC + sylmar

party package pricing: starts at $449 for 2 hours / 20 guests

another science-themed bday option! parties include different demonstrations like “glow-in-the-dark slime” and “ice cream-istry.”

kidspace

location: pasadena

this children’s museum seems soooo fun. choose from a few party spaces like their giant tents, pepper tree terrace, or an indoor celebration area. there’s also a cafe on site.

meri cherry art studio

location: encino

party package pricing: starts at $899 for 1.5 hours / up to 10 kids + 15 adults

a cute art studio! party packages include birthday card making and a main craft you can choose like dioramas, slime play, a jewelry bar, potions, and mini cakes. things like food and favors can be added on for additional fees, but you can also bring in your own food.

totally art studio

this place has so many cute party theme options — slime art, adopt-a-pet (kids decorate an animal house and take home a matching stuffy, awww), glow in the dark, tie dye, and more. so fun!

big and tiny

sooooo aesthetic! packages include exclusive use of their indoor creative space, decorations, balloons, organic food and drinks. tons of cute themes and add-ons (for an additional fee) like face painting, goodie bags, balloon artists, music + instruments, and characters. they recommend reserving at least two months in advance because they book up!

another cute children’s museum with activities like a kitchen, teepees and costumes. when booking a party you can add on a museum-led activity like sing-alongs, stories + crafts, and messy play (additional fee of $150).

south play

a play and party venue with an indoor space and outdoor courtyard. you can coordinate with them to set up activities like train rides, pony rides, petting zoos and skateboard parks! they can also set up games like cornhole or a giant bowling set. andddd they have a vendor list for characters, balloon artists, face painters, etc.

blue planet 4 kids

location: woodland hills

party package pricing: starts at $600 for 2 hours

just a big ol’ indoor/outdoor space full of play blocks for your kid to build whatever their little heart desires!! they also offer foam parties?! which sounds like a lot but also so fun. or you can do a foam AND block party. and if THAT’S not enough you can also add on things like a bounce house, popcorn machine and ice cream bar if you really wanna blow your kid’s mind.
