beds
our bed is on the floor.
see? we got rid of our old bedframe because i didn’t want the cats to hide from us underneath. and while it’s fine having the bed right on the floor, i have been thinking a headboard or bedframe might make the room a little more finished looking.
the usual dilemma, i don’t want to spend any money on it. and beds are expensive! here are a few modern ones low to high. ( ikea is really the only place with cheap beds i could find )
+ SHOP THE BEDS
one / two / three / four / five / sixthe cats were posing. i had to take a photo.
+ our really damaged blanket is from joinery and unfortunately out of stock. i wanted a new one in a new color since the cats have ruined it. very sad.

cat fur < new sofa
we have a white couch… i don’t know why. but now that we have two cats who lay wherever they want, the couch is really super gross. it takes about 35 lint roller sheets to clean off all the fur. and looks like this most of the time.
it looks much worse in person.
so we’ve decided a new darker colored sofa will hopefully mask the fur a little more.
i’m really really into this one, and it’s cheap and comes in a pretty decent variety of colors. we ordered the fabric swatches and like this smoke color.
it’s pretty yes? and doesn’t look as cheap as it actually is? well hopefully.
in my quest for finding a super affordable but pretty sofa, i came across all of these for pretty good prices.

memorial day vacation : martha’s vineyard
i am way too excited to leave town and spend a week on the vineyard – we leave tomorrow! i spent many summers on the vineyard as a kid. my mom bought this little rental cottage years ago, and is now selling it sadly. so if all goes well, this will be our last time at the house. we have so many amazing memories from this house. it’s going to be really surreal. check it out on curbed.
yeah – that’s a double water view. it’s perfect sunset watching.
and here is my sweet loving brother and i playing a friendly game of wiffle ball.
+ so of course – here are some vineyard essentials.
one a bag for day trip essentials
two waterproof set of playing cards
three easy shades
four a light read
five comfortable flip flops
six a solid everyday bikini -
la taco tour
you may notice i mention tacos a lot. that’s because i eat tacos many many times per week. because i essentially live in little mexico ( echo park ), i’ve decided to do a tour of all our favorite places to go and the best things to order at them.
+ SO STAY TUNED. i can’t do this quickly or i’ll have a heart attack.
