diy headboard roundup
yesterday i posted a small roundup of beds. but truth is, i’d never buy any of them besides the ikea ones and i don’t know how to transport one from craigslist.
so now i’ve gathered up some favorite headboard and bedframe DIYs. i LOVE the rendition of the ace hotel headboard by the brick house because we watch all our tv and movies in bed so it’d be so comfy for that, but i’d have to do a no-sew version…

our bed is on the floor.
see? we got rid of our old bedframe because i didn’t want the cats to hide from us underneath. and while it’s fine having the bed right on the floor, i have been thinking a headboard or bedframe might make the room a little more finished looking.
the usual dilemma, i don’t want to spend any money on it. and beds are expensive! here are a few modern ones low to high. ( ikea is really the only place with cheap beds i could find )

cat fur < new sofa
we have a white couch… i don’t know why. but now that we have two cats who lay wherever they want, the couch is really super gross. it takes about 35 lint roller sheets to clean off all the fur. and looks like this most of the time.
it looks much worse in person.
so we’ve decided a new darker colored sofa will hopefully mask the fur a little more.
i’m really really into this one, and it’s cheap and comes in a pretty decent variety of colors. we ordered the fabric swatches and like this smoke color.
it’s pretty yes? and doesn’t look as cheap as it actually is? well hopefully.
in my quest for finding a super affordable but pretty sofa, i came across all of these for pretty good prices.
