our living room, in photos! thank you guys for l our living room, in photos! thank you guys for loving it 🥹 i’m so obsessed with it that i now refuse to hang out in the family room lol, so my next goal is to make that room equally as cozy!? except i was gonna focus on the playroom! or arlos room next!? and this is why i can’t finish anything!! comment WANT and i’ll send you the links for everything! #blueriverhouse
so now that i’ve moved to ct, i’ve made it my goal so now that i’ve moved to ct, i’ve made it my goal to live a slower life #ApplePartner — and what’s more cozy (and slow) than reading BOOKS?! that’s right, i’m a reader now!!! @applebooks has made the transition from someone who pretty much only bought books as decoration to a full-fledged BOOKWORM way easier because you can read or listen to samples before you buy, keep a “want to read” list, adjust the playback speed as much as you want and it still feels like a physical book because you actually *flip* the page. it’s also subscription-free, so i won’t feel guilty if i take a break from reading — but please don’t let me do that!! you can even follow @reesesbookclub, where Reese Witherspoon hand-picks a new read each month — always with a woman at the center. i’m always trying to scroll less (who isn’t), so lately i’ve been listening to books while soaking up time in the backyard before it gets too chilly. watercoloring and listening to a book? cozy. cooking dinner with a glass of wine and a book? cozier. walking on the beach with a book? peak slow life!!!!!! the link is in my bio!
SAY HI TO OUR LIVING ROOM!!! the first finished ro SAY HI TO OUR LIVING ROOM!!! the first finished room in the house and it feels so good! and could never have happened without @thehavenly, i worked with the sweetest designer (👋 @camila.interiors) who helped me come up with such a beautiful and totally grownup room design! after we agreed on the final design, she gave me a shopping list so i was able to get everything all in one place which made the process like 800x faster?! i still need to order window shades and the ottomans but omggg i’m so excited to have a room done before the holidays. can you imagine a christmas tree in here?!?! our living room— part 2! the sad part! was sooo e our living room— part 2! the sad part! was sooo excited to get a frame tv on the built in but unfortunately between the low ceilings and the large mantle he said this is where it had to be mounted, so basically it’s like touching the mantle and has so much space on top. it’s driving me insane. do I get a second opinion?! 😆 do i put a piece of trim on top? or do i move on with my life!?!! anyway the rest of the room is looking so great and cozy and STAY TUNED FOR THE REVEAL TOMORRRRROW!!!!!
our connecticut living room, part 1!!! while i’m our connecticut living room, part 1!!! while i’m a broken record in saying how this is the most beautiful room in the house, it also had some very traumatizing levels of grossness in the built ins that needed to be addressed before i could comfortably chill in here— but we got through it! now for those of you who said not to repaint… sorry 😆 but very happy with the color we ultimately chose which is the same color we chose for our LA built in too because it ain’t broke! ( it’s “eventide” by @sherwinwilliams ! ) now stay tuned for the drama in part 2! what an adventure!
