24 area rugs i love from wayfair

i swapped out our bathroom rug (because i stained our old one with some tanning lotion :/), i got this checkered one that’s technically not a bathmat, but we love a plush rug in the bathroom! (i know some people find that peculiar)
while rug hunting, i obviously saved cute ones for a roundup!!! wayfair has such a massive selection of gorgeous things that i could spend days making these roundups, but alas i narrowed it down to 24 to not overwhelm you too much.
and so many different rugs in our house are sold on wayfair so i’m including those too!
i think this one would actually look so good as a kitchen runner (and would hide so many stains).
i also got arlo’s rug from wayfair and i am obsessed with this one. it’s so soft and high quality, this size (8×10″) is currently sold out in the beige color right now, but hopefully it restocks soon.

i was asked by a follower if i knew of any cute desks for kids — and i realized there has never been a cute desk roundup on here! with kids going back to school right now, it’s the perfect time to setup a cute little area to cozy up and do their homework!

a gallery wall in arlo’s room

i wanted to keep this wall simple in arlo’s bedroom makeover, but then it actually felt like a spot that could use a little more personality. arlo’s passions and interests are so dialed in, that creating a little collection of art for him was totally effortless. i’ve shopped on (and sold on) society6 forever and i knew it would be such an easy process to find art he’d love on there.
in case you don’t know society6 – it has literally millions of designs to choose from, so i knew to search for things he loves – i’m sure you can guess… sharks, ghosts, i searched for skeletons too (but he didn’t choose any of them for the final 5). they sell tons of wall art options, prints, framed prints – but there are also soooo many other products to choose from too – backpacks, yoga mats, shower curtains, beach chairs, clothes!?! basically whatever you can think of lol
in addition to the gallery wall art, i grabbed a few things for back to school too for arlo… and well, a few for me too because there’s so much cute stuff to choose from! i’m obsessedddd with the floral backpack!
how to design a mini gallery wall
i didn’t have much space to work with because i didn’t want to trail off too far past arlo’s nightstand – so i kept the sizes of all the art pretty small. they offer lots of size options when you’re ordering. i measured the space i had and then i photoshopped a mockup with the sizes to see how they would all fit together.
i like a mix of frame types (society 6 has wood / metal / a bunch of different options) and a mix between landscape and portrait orientations. i also chose the ghost art to be framed canvas and i love how it looks like a fancy painting!!!
even with small scale art, there should be at least one focal point piece. i went a bit larger with the ice cream print, and then used the smaller art to fill in the gaps, and they even make mini art prints which are perfect for filling gallery wall gaps!!
how to shop on society6
like i said, there are millions of designs on there, so i know the site can feel overwhelming if you don’t know what to search for or where to even begin shopping for art.
there are lots of ways to browse, if you find an artist you like, you can also look at who they’re following, art they’ve favorited, etc. they also have curated lists on the site like this color story one that has so much good art! you can also just try searching trendy keywords, like “gingham” or “cottagecore” or even like “hand drawn fruits” etc. whatever you might be into!
sometimes i feel like gallery walls can feel a little visually overwhelming and cluttered, so i’m really glad i went small scale and low quantity for the art!i feel like it has the visual interest and the personality this wall needed and i don’t think it’s busy enough that we’ll get sick of it anytime soon!!! i’m so happy with it, it just screams arlo. 🙂
