forever obsessed with this tradition (that we just forever obsessed with this tradition (that we just started years after my son was born, so don’t worry it’s not too late for you either!) gift your kids an ornament every year that’s significant to them or represents that year of their life, and keep them all documented in a little notebook for them to look back on when they’re all grown up and don’t even remember the things they once loved 😭 (we decided to start when arlo was already 5, so we just cheated and backdated every year of his life with an ornament) got this idea from @leahfayegaeddert 💛 #cozychristmas #christmastraditions #christmaswithkids

our annual spooky dinner! we’ve been doing this our annual spooky dinner! we’ve been doing this every october since arlo first became completely obsessed with halloween and while the the table settings and the menu has changed, the concept has stayed the same — i go to town on the table with our halloween decoration box and we eat by candlelight, it’s a last big send off to halloween season before we trick or treat and i just hope someday when they’re parents they keep this tradition alive for their own kids 😭😭😭😭 or maybe i can just be the spooky grandma happy halloween!!!!!
